John Austin's Mission Statement

Seven reasons why I get up every day:

#1-5: My beautiful wife & best friend; and our great children!
#6: To do the best job I can to take care of OUR customers' needs, treating them just like family!
#7: To make life just a little easier and safer for everyone while making new friends.

Relationships are the Bottom Line

For selling to become a lifelong love, you must be able to find joy in building helping relationships with others. It is from this joy that you will discover the goodness in each other and a wellspring of gratification, validation and productivity.

Selling takes generosity and a total commitment to the welfare of the customer. If I have a full relationship with you, I am available to you at many levels. I will always operate in your best interest and only influence you to do the right thing. I care about your total well-being.

If you want to be truly connected to your customer, the key is caring. When you truly care, your customers 'inner knower' will sense this phenomenon. You will have created an environment where the customer is in the spotlight. And when you're paying attention to the customer, you're paying attention to the business.

Winning people over to your side is done simply by trying to see things from their side. It's called empathy. This will enable you to actively participate in the life of the customer. You will be successful at working with customers if you manage to keep you attention focused on their fears, their needs and their hopes and their aspirations.

Relationships... a dying breed.
